Englert

Englert is a North American manufacturer of metal roofing and seamless gutter systems, and of the roll-forming machines that contractors use to make them. The company describes more than 50 years of operation. In 2024 it became part of Great Day Improvements, a US home-improvement group.

Roofing products

Englert's roofing range includes:

• Standing seam metal roof panels.
• Metal wall panels and soffits.
• Perimeter (edge) systems and roofing accessories.
• Retrofit framing used to install a new metal roof over an existing roof.
• Roofing coil supplied to fabricators.

Gutters

Englert's gutter lines include K-style gutters and the RainPro system, along with several leaf-protection products (MicroGuard, SureGuard and LeafGuard). It also sells gutter coil.

Machinery

A distinctive part of Englert's business is equipment: it makes roofing and gutter roll-forming machines, as well as folding and shearing machines, and offers machine repair. Portable roll formers allow contractors to produce continuous-length metal panels or seamless gutters on or near the job site, from flat coil, rather than ordering pre-cut panels from a factory. This approach is common in North America and allows long panels without end laps, though transport, coil quality and on-site quality control become the installer's responsibility. Englert's warranty information covers panels produced on its portable roll-forming equipment.

Ownership

Englert joined the Great Day Improvements group in 2024. The company has not published its founding date on its main website.

Standing seam roofing

Standing seam panels run from eave to ridge with raised seams joining neighbouring panels, and are fixed with concealed clips so that no fasteners pierce the weather surface. Clip design allows the panels to expand and contract with temperature changes.
